New Series 6 at AgriPlanta 2025: Romanian Premiere of the New Flagship

Starting Friday, May 23, 2025, the Romanian agricultural community will have the opportunity to see the new tractor – Series 6 – for the first time. This will take place at the agricultural exhibition AgriPlanta – RomAgroTec, which runs until Sunday, May 25. The Series 6 will be presented at the booth of ZETOR's Romanian distributor, ZETOR TRACTOR SRL, located at area E140. All visitors and those interested are warmly invited.

The new Series 6 is the result of years of development and represents a modern and robust solution for demanding field and other agricultural applications. With this new machine, ZETOR opens a new chapter in its history, as the new tractor is gradually set to replace the Forterra and Crystal model series. The focus of the new machine is on performance, efficiency, and maximum operator comfort.

The Series 6 will be the main exhibit at the ZETOR TRACTOR SRL stand in area E140, where it will be presented to both the Romanian professional and general public. In addition to the technical innovations and modern design of the machine, visitors can also look forward to an attractive accompanying program.

Modern Engine and Advanced Technology

The new Series 6 is powered by a Deutz 4.1-liter four-cylinder engine delivering a maximum output of 171 HP at 1900 rpm. It features a Common Rail injection system, and meets Stage V emission standards using DPF, SCR, and EGR exhaust treatment systems.

The tractor is equipped with a new ZF TPT 16 five-speed transmission, which allows powershift gear changes, offering six forward and three reverse gears. Including creeper gears, a total of 54 forward and 27 reverse speeds are available, with a maximum speed of 40 km/h at reduced engine rpm. The main gear stages are shifted manually via a gear lever, the multiplier is automatic, and reversing is electrohydraulic. A more robust gearbox construction allows for an increased rear axle load capacity of 8.5 tons, with a payload capacity around 5 tons and total weight up to 11.5 tons.

Operators benefit from a high-performance hydraulic system with an axial piston pump delivering
120 l/min. The rear three-point hitch supports up to 9.7 tons, and the front hitch handles 3.5 tons. Standard equipment includes four mechanically controlled rear hydraulic circuits with flow control and two optional front auxiliary circuits. An improved PTO offers selectable speeds of 540, 540E, 1000, and 1000E rpm, with an electrohydraulic clutch that allows for adjustable engagement based on load and operator preference.

The traditionally large and spacious cabin is designed for comfort, supported by cab suspension and a fully suspended front axle. New owners will also enjoy a new control console with ergonomically arranged controls, and, when using navigation, a large touchscreen control monitor. The pressurized cab reduces dust and aerosol ingress, ensuring safety and comfort during work with sprayers.

Romanian Premiere

Romanian farmers attending the exhibition will have a unique opportunity to experience the new tractor live.

“We believe their reactions will be just as positive as those from farmers who have tested the machine and seen its performance under demanding field conditions – such as plowing an alfalfa field that had been fallow for seven years with a five-furrow plow. Alongside the new model, the booth will also showcase the proven MAJOR model – a universal assistant with 75 HP, well-liked for its simplicity, reliability, and low operating costs.

The open-air exhibition AgriPlanta – RomAgroTec has been held since 2011 and has become the most significant agricultural event in the region. It is attended annually by more than 250 exhibitors from various countries and attracts around 20,000 visitors. Attendees can look forward not only to the display of agricultural equipment but also to demonstrations under real working conditions.
