ZETOR TRACTORS a.s. is expanding its product portfolio with the new Series 5 model range, consisting of four-cylinder tractors with outputs from 102 to 122 HP. The prototype of the new tractor will make its first public appearance on May 23–24 at the Polish exhibition Zielone AGRO SHOW. Sales are scheduled to begin in the summer of this year, several months ahead of the original plan.
The Series 5 will complement the current COMPAX, MAJOR and Series 6 model ranges. The new tractors are aimed primarily at farmers and agricultural businesses looking for a robust, mechanically simple and universally usable tractor for everyday operations – from front loader work and livestock farming to transport, field work and municipal applications.
“Series 5 represents exactly the type of tractor many customers are looking for today – a robust, mechanical and operationally efficient machine without unnecessary complexity. Our goal was to bring a tractor offering high utility value, simple servicing and parameters matching the needs of European farmers,” says Róbert Harman, CEO of ZETOR TRACTORS a.s.
The new model range builds on ZETOR’s long-standing experience in the 100–125 HP tractor segment. Compared to the former PROXIMA range, it offers a more robust construction, higher operating weight, a more powerful hydraulic system and higher rear linkage lifting capacity. These parameters improve tractor stability, payload capacity and overall usability in practical operation.
From summer onwards, the Series 5 will consist of three models with outputs of 102, 113 and 122 HP. The tractors will be powered by four-cylinder FPT engines meeting Stage V emission standards, equipped with Common Rail injection and a DPF particulate filter.
The 5100 model with 102 HP will be equipped with a basic mechanical transmission featuring 24 forward and 24 reverse gears in three working ranges, including a mechanical reverser and mechanical splitter. The 5110 and 5120 models with outputs of 113 and 122 HP will feature a more comfortable transmission variant with the same number of forward and reverse gears, but additionally equipped with a PowerShuttle reverser and a two-stage PowerShift splitter. Maximum design speed will be 40 km/h.
The hydraulic system will offer four rear hydraulic circuits, pump output of 65 l/min (model 5100) or 80 l/min (models 5110 and 5120), and an electrohydraulically controlled rear three-point linkage with a maximum lifting capacity of 4,500 kg on the 5100 model and 5,500 kg on the 5110 and 5120 models. The tractor’s design also reflects the demands of everyday operation in challenging conditions. The cab will offer an ergonomic operator workplace, good visibility, intuitive controls and comfort features including air conditioning.
The launch of the Series 5 also follows the current trend of international cooperation in agricultural machinery development and manufacturing. The new model range was developed in cooperation with Hattat Traktör, an established tractor manufacturer with extensive OEM production experience for global agricultural machinery brands such as John Deere, Valtra and Massey Ferguson.
“Modern agricultural machinery development is now based on combining experience, technologies and strong manufacturing partnerships. Our goal was to return the ZETOR brand to this key
performance segment as quickly as possible and offer customers not only a robust, technically proven and affordable solution, but also a very strong service network and excellent spare parts availability,” adds Harman.
Within the project, ZETOR focused primarily on the final tractor configuration for European markets, testing in real operating conditions and ensuring long-term service support. A high-quality service network, strong spare parts availability, operational reliability and long-term commitment to customers are among the core values on which the ZETOR brand has long been built. The new Series 5 follows this philosophy and expands the brand’s product portfolio in a segment that is crucial for many farmers.
