ZETOR SERIES 6 at AGROmashEXPO: Hungarian Premiere of a New Tractor

ZETOR SERIES 6 at AGROmashEXPO: Hungarian Premiere of a New Tractor

At the AGROmashEXPO exhibition in Hungary, the prototype of the new SERIES 6, the future flagship tractor from the Czech manufacturer ZETOR, will make its debut from January 22, 2025. The tractor's market launch is planned for 2025. Alongside this innovation, the COMPAX model with a new cabin will also be presented, as well as the FORTERRA HSX 140 and MAJOR 80. We warmly invite you to Hall 2, Stand 301A1.

Up to 171 Horsepower

"The SERIES 6 will become ZETOR’s new flagship, setting a new direction for the development and assembly of our future products. With a power range from 131 to 171 HP, the SERIES 6 will replace the current FORTERRA. I can already confirm that work and testing are underway on the SERIES 5, which will match the PROXIMA model line in performance. In line with our long-term product plans, we will also introduce tractors corresponding to the MAJOR series, as well as a completely new model with a power output above 200 HP," explains Róbert Harman, CEO of ZETOR TRACTORS a.s.

With the introduction of the SERIES 6, ZETOR is returning to its roots, where tractors were organized by numerical series. Chronologically arranged numerical series combined with engine power provide a clear categorization system, making it easier for farmers to identify the machine that best suits their needs.

Tractors in the SERIES 6 will be equipped with four-cylinder Deutz 4.1 engines, offering a maximum power of 171 HP at 1900 rpm. With a displacement of 4.1 liters, the engines meet Stage V emission standards using SCR, DPF, and external exhaust gas recirculation systems. The engines feature Common Rail injection, a single turbocharger, and the ability to set constant speeds at two levels.

New Transmission

The ZF TPT 16 POWERSHIFT transmission enables smooth shifting under load. To the five basic forward and three reverse gears, it adds a six-step multiplier for forward movement and a three-step multiplier for reverse. Including creep speeds, there will be a total of 54 forward and 27 reverse speeds available, with a maximum tractor speed of 40 km/h. Main gear shifting is manual via a gear lever, while the multiplier and reverser are electrohydraulically controlled. The more robust transmission construction also increases the rear axle load capacity to 8.5 tons, with the tractor’s total weight reaching 11.5 tons.

Additionally, the Smart Braking system will allow starting and stopping the tractor with just the brake pedal, an especially efficient and convenient system for tasks such as using a front loader.

Hydraulics and Cabin

The SERIES 6 will feature a powerful hydraulic system with an axial piston pump delivering a flow rate of 120 l/min. The rear three-point hitch will have a lifting capacity of up to 7.2 tons, while the front hitch will handle up to 3.5 tons. The tractor will be equipped with four mechanically controlled rear hydraulic circuits as standard, with two additional front auxiliary circuits available if needed. A new PTO system will offer selectable speeds of 540, 540E, 1000, and 1000E rpm, with an electrohydraulic clutch adjustable to match the current load.

The tractor’s cabin introduces numerous innovations. Its suspension uses hydraulic shock absorbers and coil springs. Combined with the tractor’s suspended front axle, operators can expect maximum comfort, further enhanced by air conditioning, a radio, and tilting rear side windows for ventilation. The central console is adjustable in two directions, and there is a new armrest with ergonomically arranged controls. A 24-inch touchscreen monitor is available for tractor settings and function controls. The pressurized cabin minimizes the intrusion of dust and aerosols, making the tractor suitable for use with sprayers.

At Stand 301A1 in Hall 2, the ZETOR COMPAX CL 26 PLUS with a new cabin design will also be showcased. This upgrade provides not only greater operator comfort but also enhanced safety. This new feature elevates the COMPAX CL series to a new level and opens up broader possibilities for farmers using these compact machines with outputs up to 24 HP.

Another red tractor at the stand will be the MAJOR CL 80, a versatile helper for smaller and medium-sized farms. Its 75 HP engine, combined with a 12/12 mechanical gearbox, offers reliable performance and easy maintenance. The rear three-point hitch has a maximum lifting capacity of 1,800 kg, enabling versatile use in crop production, transportation, and municipal services. The comfortable cabin makes this model an attractive choice for farmers seeking an economical solution.

Lastly, the FORTERRA HSX 140 will also be on display, designed for both crop and livestock operations. The ZETOR four-cylinder engine delivers 136.2 HP. This model features a five-speed reversible gearbox with an automatic electrohydraulic three-speed multiplier (PowerShuttle), providing 30 forward and reverse speeds. The rear three-point hitch, with an 8,600 kg lifting capacity, allows the use of heavy implements. The cab, equipped with suspension and air conditioning, enhances operator comfort, while the ECO transmission helps reduce fuel consumption.

AGROmashEXPO, Hungary’s largest agricultural event, will open its doors from January 22 to 25, 2025. Nearly 200 exhibitors from 15 countries will showcase their products across 50,000 m² of exhibition space. The event attracts an average of 40,000 visitors annually.
