America remembers 100 years of Czech independence with ZETOR tractors

The ZETOR brand was presented in the USA as part of the EU Open House 2018 Project. The visitors to the Czech Embassy in Washington, D. C. had the chance to see one of the most universal tractors: PROXIMA 120. On the occasion of the Open Day of Embassies of EU countries, ZETOR presented the history and tradition of the Czech brand and product.

On Saturday, May 12, the visitors to the Czech Embassy in the USA had the chance to see PROXIMA 120 tractor; it is a universal and reliable tractor, one of the most popular ZETOR models among farmers. It is suitable for work in farming, forestry and road maintenance.

.The ZETOR brand is represented on the American continent by its subsidiary: ZETOR NORTH AMERICA. ZETOR tractors have been on the US market since 1980s. Per year, the total of about 200 tractors of all ZETOR model ranges are sold in the USA. In the USA, ZETOR tractors are mainly used in animal breeding, namely cattle, milk industry, and road maintenance.

The Open Day of the Embassies of EU countries has taken place several times. Czech Embassy used this opportunity to remember the centennial of Czech independence and celebrate Czech-American cooperation. The Embassy was visited by over 4,000 people.

“This was the first time we worked on such event together with Czech Embassy and it definitely won’t be the last. In June, we are planning another joint event in Kentucky where our tractors will demonstrate their strengths,” says Mike Boucher, Business Manager, Zetor North America, Inc.

The history of ZETOR in the USA goes back to 1980. Within the 40 years of history, over 25,000 tractors were exported and sold in the country.
