Zetor company sponsors A Czech Republic representative Mr. Václav Milík in competitive ploughing Contest
During the September was realized the Ploughing Championship within global, european and republic competition. In each of these three races found his place "red tractor from Brno“.
Already 56th World Ploughing Championship took place from 4th to 5th September 2009 in Slovenian Moravská Toplice. In this prestigious international competition in the category of classical two-shares-plough won the 5th place Czech representative Václav Milík with Zetor tractor. He reached the best position of the Czech competitors in the history of World Ploughing Championship and also became the year's best placed competitor with Zetor tractor.
"We are very proud not only of the Zetor tractors participate in this prestigious international contest, but that helped the Czech representative, Mr Milik, to won 5th place. We congratulate him.", says Josef Chodounský, Managing Direcrtor of Zetor Tractors.
Vaclav Milik was not the only competitor with Zetor tractor. In this brand put trust also representatives of four other countries - Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia and the USA. On the competition participate 17 other worldwide agricultural equipment manufacturers.
World Ploughing Championship is an international competition held annually since 1953 and is organized by the World Ploughing Organization.This year has participated total of 28 countries in the category of classical
two-share plough and in the category of rotary two-share plough total of 30 countries. Participants competed in two days - the first day was ploughed a stubble and the second day it was a grassy weeds ploughing. Evaluated were quality and accuracy of ploughing. The final results were determined by the results from both days.
The venue for two other prestigious competitions, 36th Czech republic Ploughing Championship with single-sided two-share plough and rotary two-sided two-share plough and 26 th European Ploughing Championship with rotary two-sided two-share plough, was Zábřeh in Moravia. It took place from 24th to 26th September. In a nationwide contest won the first prize /with the classical single-sided two-share plough/ Václav Milík with Zetor tractor. This success follows not only the success from the World Championship in ploughing, but also a series of victories in last six years in the republic competition. The winner of the European contest became John Whelan from Ireland.
Zetor participated in this event by four tractors, which were exhibited throughout the duration of the Championships. One model - Proxima Power 85 – was lent to Ploughing Society, which served as an operating tractor and even two models of Zetor tractors were lent to competitors.
Czech republic Championship took place according to the rules of the World Ploughing Organization. This competition was divided into four categories - classical one‑sided and rotary two-share plough, rotary four-share plough and horse ploughing.
For competitors and visitors was prepared the accompanying program. This included for example Farmer´s Day – field exhibition, the exhibition of historical farm machinery, horse ploughing, riding skills in tractor with trailer and also paratroopers jumps and majorettes.
